Kemok is partnering with Guatemalan non-profit organizations to track day-to-day and election violence in the to provide information to monitoring organizations about predicted hotspots. As a first step Kemok is analyzing past violence to understand how it affects specific voter groups, determining and quantifying likely winners and losers of unfair and violent elections on a district by district level.

In a partnership project with SumAll.org we investigate opportunities for improving social services through data analytics. The analysis for this project includes data on evictions and shelter history to predict which families are at risk of being homeless before it happens. The pilot project revealed that outreach effectiveness can improve by 50% when service providers allocate limited public resources to the most vulnerable families. Our work helps them do precisely what creates a successful program.
